For Landowners

The Summit Land Conservancy is Summit County’s only locally based land trust. The Summit Land Conservancy assists landowners with land and open space conservation including the creation of conservation easements. The objective of this process is the preservation of property that often has been in a family for generations. In all instances this process concludes with preservation of property consistent with the desires and wishes of the landowners. In many cases, landowners and their families could enjoy benefits from placing some or all of their property under a conservation easement.

The Summit Land Conservancy exists to help local landowners make the best and most informed decisions for themselves, their families, and their properties. Conservancy staff will work directly with landowners to help them through the process of protecting their property.

If you are a landowner and would like more information on this process, please call Cheryl Fox at 435-649-0220, or email cheryl@summitlandconservancy.org
