Description: Round Valley has been referred to by locals as the “Central Park” of Park City. It contains spectacular panoramic views of sagebrush covered hills and high mountain desert. From Round Valley trails, one can view the peaks of all three Park City resorts: Canyons, Deer Valley and Park City Mountain Resort. The area is popular for its extensive trail system that provides a variety of recreational opportunities.
What You Didn’t Know: The greater-sage grouse has been petitioned to be listed as threatened by the Fish and Wildlife Service. Although it has not yet been put on the endangered species list, there is a general concern for the viability of greater-sage grouse populations. Round Valley’s continuous sagebrush habitat is not only native, but ideal to the grouse’s transitory and breeding habitation. With the conservation of this property, more grouse populations are likely to survive into the future!
