Greg Peters | Conservation Director

Greg Peters joined the Summit Land Conservancy in the summer of 2007 as a volunteer intern. He was so motivated and informative, that we offered him our first fulltime position as Conservation Director, starting in July of 2008. Originally from Massachusetts, Greg spent his early years climbing and skiing the peaks of the White Mountains and hiking the Long Trail of Vermont before being lured out west. He graduated from UMass Amherst with a degree in Geography, concentrating in land use and sustainable management, picking up minors in History and Environmental Sciences along the way. During his time in college, Greg worked with two other land trusts as a GIS consultant and stewardship support. In addition to working for Summit Land Conservancy, Greg also volunteers as a DJ at KPCW and at the Sundance Film Festival. When not working to protect open space, Greg can either be found in the Wasatch backcountry or road tripping around the west with his dog, Bowser. greg@summitlandconservancy.org Phone: 435-649-9884
