2010 Donors

Summit Land Conservancy is unique because it is primarily locally funded. We have a long history of broad support from generous members of the community. We have also received grants from Summit County and from Park City Municipal Corporation. In addition, we have a wonderfully successful fundraising program.

1% For Open Space

This is a program where local merchants, restaurants, and resorts add 1% to a customer’s purchase price. These funds are collected by the business and then passed on to the Summit Land Conservancy. The beauty of this program is that it allows local businesses to support local open space protection by letting their customers make small donations. Customers can always opt out, if they do not wish to participate. In the fall of 2004, the Deer Valley Resort became the first local business to participate in 1% For Open Space. The positive response from Deer Valley’s clients has been significant. The current list of particpants includes:
