What We Do

  • WE SAVE LAND

Our Mission: The Summit Land Conservancy works in partnership with local landowners to permanently protect the remaining agricultural lands, view sheds, animal habitats, waterways, and rangelands in Park City and Summit County, Utah.

  • Pyper Tracey Ranch Preserved!

  • The Weber River watershed gained important protection when Summit Land Conservancy and the Richins family of Henefer signed an agreement that permanently protects the final 20 acres of a 50-acre project, preserving agricultural land, wildlife habitat, angler access, and open space in Eastern Summit County. Thanks to critical gifts from Backcountry.com and the Eastern Summit County Agricultural Preservation Committee (ESAP), the Conservancy was able to access over $400,000 in federal funding to make this project possible.
The Richins family has lived in Henefer for generations and owned the property since the early 1900s. In addition to preserving the farming way of life, this project also protects critical habitat for elk, deer, bald eagles and bobolinks, which are listed by the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources as a “species of concern.”
