Join Summit Land Conservancy

The Summit Land Conservancy, in partnership with landowners, works to protect the remaining agricultural lands, viewsheds, animal habitats, waterways, and rangelands in Summit County, Utah – one of the fastest growing counties in the nation.

Based in Park City, the Summit Land Conservancy, facilitates the permanent protection of open lands in Summit County. We are the third-party that holds and enforces the terms of conservation easements, and we serve as a clearinghouse for practical information about the many different ways natural lands, be they forests or farmlands, can be preserved.

The Summit Land Conservancy is a local advocate for open land, encouraging awareness, community dialogue, and creative win-win solutions for everyone in Summit County.

As of December 2007, the Summit Land Conservancy holds over 2,000 acres in conservation easements on some of the community’s most treasured landscapes, from Round Valley to the McPolin Farmlands.
